Consultation Options

• Virtual Consultations: For your convenience, we offer virtual consultations, allowing you to discuss your surgical plan with Dr. Gruber from the comfort of your home. This process is efficient and helps streamline your journey, ensuring that many details are finalized before you arrive.
• In-Person Consultations: If you prefer, we also provide in-person consultations at our Tampa Bay office. During this meeting, you will have the opportunity to see Dr. Gruber and discuss your cosmetic surgery goals in detail.
  
• Scheduling Your Procedure: Scheduling your surgery at Gruber Plastic Surgery is straightforward. Our team will assist you in arranging all necessary appointments and provide you with a pre-operative packet containing essential information and informed consents for your review. Majority of our plastic surgery patients are out of town patients who fly into Tampa Bay, Fl the day before surgery, have surgery, then fly out the next day for awake procedures. For surgeries under general anesthesia, patients typically stay around a week before flying out. Dr. Gruber will provide specific details during your consultation.

Preparing for Your Surgery

Prior to your arrival

• What to Bring: Please bring all necessary medical records and information, as well as any paperwork and informed consents provided in your pre-operative packet.
• Preoperative Instructions: Detailed preoperative instructions will be provided to help you prepare for your surgery day.
  
• Preoperative Appointment: Your preoperative appointment will include a thorough review of your surgical plan. The plan may be altered at this point to better meet your goals. We will take pre-operative photos and finalize any remaining details.

Upon Arrival

• Clinic Check-In: Upon arrival, you will check in at our Tampa Bay plastic surgery center. You will meet with Dr. Gruber and our surgical team for final preparations.
• Caregiver Recommendations: We always recommend that patients have a caregiver with them, whether it be a family member, spouse, or friend. We also offer a private caregiver service to provide pre-op/post-op assistance and travel support.
  

Post-Op Information and Traveling Back

After your surgery, our goal is to ensure a smooth recovery process:

• Awake Plastic Surgery: Patients typically fly in the day before surgery, have surgery, then fly out the next day or two. If you have existing health issues or an extensive surgery, you may be required to stay longer.
• General Anesthesia Surgery: Patients typically stay around a week before flying out. Dr. Gruber will provide specific details for your case during your consultation, as each patient's needs vary by the procedure.
